I'm Going to Write a Book and Publish a Semi-Monthly Newsletter
Well hello there! It's been awhile, hasn't it?
I have been encouraged by a number of people to write a book about being a Cubs fan, so I've decided to take the plunge. I'm not sure of the title, but it will be about growing up a Cubs fan on Chicago's South Side.
This will be the realization of a lifelong dream, and though I know nothing about editing and publishing, and little about the already saturated market for Cubs books, I do know that I offer a unique perspective as compared to other writers.
If you would like to see an example of my writing, and the basic theme of my upcoming book, I urge you to take a look at a recent example of my writing for the Cubs Insider website. I believe you will agree that of the hundreds of books written about the Cubs none offer the same viewpoint that I do.
Because I am starting this endeavor without a publisher deal, I have to self-finance my effort. In order to do that, I am going to write a semi-monthly newsletter that will be available for a subscription. There will issues every other Saturday starting November 3, 2019, and nothing I send out to subscribed readers will conflict with my duties at Cubs Insider. Each newsletter will contain some or all of the following:
Further, all subscribers of at least twelve months will receive an autographed copy of my book upon its completion.
I have a soft deadline to finish the entire book by March 31, 2020. That would make books available for delivery or purchase early next summer.
If you'd like to subscribe to my newsletter, the cost is $5 per month or an incredibly discounted price of $36 annually.

Thank you for joining me in this endeavor, and more importantly, I am incredibly grateful for your contributions. Please do me the favor of sharing this with any fans of the Cubs or fans of baseball that you know.
The finished product might not be on par with the classic novel The Boys of Summer by Roger Khan, but I will match his passion and readability.
